Thanks, Evanston!
City, Residents Welcome Cyclists in Style
Summer 2007
Many thanks to the City of Evanston for their support in presenting this stage of the world's largest multi-category cycling event. The event simply would not have been possible without the efforts of the city workers and volunteers who kept things running smoothly throughout the downtown area.
- Mayor Lorraine H. Morton
- Fire Chief Alan Berkowsky, the Fire & Life Safety Services Department and emergency workers onsite, especially those caring for injured cyclists
- Chief of Police Richard Eddington, Tom Cabanski, Wally Baumgart, Tom Moore and the Evanston Police Department who provided security and assistance onsite
- Director of Parks, Forestry and Recreation Doug Gaynor, Petra Belcher, and staff who provided support throughout the course
- Superindent of Streets and Sanitation Suzette Eggleston, Tom Twigg of Traffic Engineering, Glenn Crabtree, Sam Ransom and staff who kept downtown Evanston in great working order
- Kailas Nagarty of the city's Health Department and GIS Manager Patrick Keegan
A special shout-out to local groups who rallied voluteers and all sorts of support for the race:

Of course, much gratitude to all of our fine sponsors: Visit our Sponsors
